What is a time-based one-time password (OTP)?

Time-based one-time password (OTP) is an authentication method. It’s a unique 6-digit temporary code that remains valid for a specific timeframe, making it highly secure and effective for protecting online accounts. This code is sent exclusively to the account owner’s registered email address to ensure their account and identity are protected.

We send OTPs to the primary account owner’s registered email address to verify their identity when requests for actions like SIM swaps and port-outs are initiated. If you do not trust the person asking for the OTP, do not share it.
